Step 01:

First step was to create an armiture out of steel and wire.

Step 02:

The armiture is then fleshed out to give the clay a base to stick to.

Step 03:

Clay is added to the fleshed out armiture. Slowly the shape of the pig begins to appear.

Step 04:

Final details are added to the clay before the casting process begins.

Step 05:

A fibercast mold is made from the clay sculp. This will make the large mold lightweight and durable.

Step 06:

With the pig mold finished. An underskull for the mechanics is made. Teeth, eyes and mouth are created from scratch then wired for movement.

Step 07:

With the underskull finished...a silicone skin is pulled from the fiberglass mold of the pigs head and attached to the underskull. Then the hairs are punched into the silicone skin, one at a time.

Step 08:

The final pig is ready for camera. Two pigs were created. One with remote control eyes and nose, and one as your basic puppet for long shots.
